UX Lead, Freddie Mac

Lead the user experience within the corporate Digital Experience team, managing both internal and external web properties.

  • Capture and understand design requirements through team interaction, customer engagement, and data analysis.

  • Create data-driven designs through the utilization of analytics, personas, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, etc.

  • Test existing designs and concepts using various industry tools and customer feedback channels.

UX Consultant, Creative Circle

Consulted with Freddie Mac corporate team on their overall web experience. Worked closely with stakeholders, visual designers and development teams to ensure a user-focused approach from concept through launch on the digital transformation of the FreddieMac.com ecosystem which included: Corporate, Multifamily, and Capital Markets sites.

  • Conducted user research to refine personas and overall goals of each user group.

  • Interpreted site analytics and research to make decisions about information architecture and overall design priorities.

  • Conceptualized and designed page layouts using wireframes and prototypes.

  • Developed and conducted in-person and remote usability tests throughout all phases of redesign process.

  • Assisted development team by building pages in TeamSite CMS.

 

UX Consultant, Creative Group

Jan 2016 - Dec 2016

Contracted with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) on the redesign and relaunch of the UMUC.edu website.

  • Wrote UX planning documents (content strategy, personas, journey maps), designed wireframes, and conducted usability tests.

  • Developed detailed functional spec documentation for a smooth handoff to developers.

  • Partnered directly with engineers throughout the development, QA and post-launch to resolve any issues and advise on key decisions that will affect the user experience.

 

Digital Marketing Manager, Boat US

Apr 2013- Jan 2016

Responsible for development and implementation of overall digital marketing strategy, including website, email marketing, display advertising, marketing automation, and mobile marketing.

  • Implemented responsive design into all email communications, increasing open rates 28% and CTR 33%.

  • Led UX research and design while creating landing pages for lead generation initiatives. Conducted stakeholder interviews and competitive analysis, defined information architecture, iterated designs through sketching and wireframes with designers and developers.

  • Oversaw creative and technical teams, balancing overall workload and project prioritization.

 

Marketing Manager, Hays Affinity

Nov 2010 - Mar 2013

Managed all affinity marketing activities, including the creation of association client marketing plans, execution of multi-channel marketing programs and management of annual marketing budget.

Served as webmaster and led the UX strategy and design for the relaunch of the company’s website and 15 microsites.

  • Created wireframes and interactive prototypes and lead design reviews with the project team.

  • Conducted card sorting and user surveys with the Hays team to validate information architecture.

  • Designed and delivered hi-fidelity mock-ups and partnered with the developer to implement designs.
